In the heart of early 20th century Hungary, a passionate young woman with a creative spirit emerges. A rising star with a destiny as captivating as her determination to redefine the standards of beauty.

Elisabetha LÁSZLÓ, known as ELLA BACHÉ, was born in Budapest, Hungary, on November 17, 1900.

1900

1922

At 22, she graduated from the University of Budapest, becoming one of the 1st female pharmacists. Her creative soul developed a passion for skincare, and she set out to harness science in the service of beauty.

1927

Faced with the rise of anti-Semitism and Nazism, she fled Hungary and settled in Paris with her mother. With cosmetic skincare not yet existing, she developed the ambition to create effective, pleasant-to-use products while teaching women how to maintain the beauty of their skin.

1930

She develops the 1st skincare-makeup products for ParisianHaute Couture Housesto protect the damaged skin of models caused by makeup.

1936

She opened her own spa at 8 Rue de la Paix, where she created the 1st professional beauty consultation: skin analysis and personalized care prescriptions. She also developed the iconic Tomato Cream the 1st skincare product to incorporate AHAs in cosmetics.

1941

Always in pursuit of innovation, she opened an office and laboratory in New York. She drew inspiration from the latest medical research to create a cult product, the Intex Cream. She also developed the 1st ingredient labels with the aim of transparency for consumers.  

1960

She creates The Revitalizer, the 1st dual peel combining two grades of exfoliation: mechanical and chemical, revolutionizing the skin preparation step. This flagship product is still used in our professional treatments today.

1970

With a deep commitment to supporting women in their daily lives and empowering them to be more independent, she developed numerousbeauty advice guides.

1980

Her visionary spirit led her to take an interest in a little-known molecule and develop Elastogel, the 1st product based on Hyaluronic Acid, which is now the foundation of the HYDRA REPULP line.

1990

Ella was keen on cutting-edge technologies and developed Sonocare, the 1st facial equipment based on ultrasounds, which was a precursor to the SKINTEX®LAB now used in all ELLA BACHÉ protocols.
